Documentation management is one of the pillars of the EVAM application, in these processes 2 types of users are actively involved, product engineers and production managers, both have the power to create and edit documents related to their functions.
Production managers can only create and edit *.factory or *.gcode files, while all other documents can only be consulted.
Production engineers define parts and assemblies, but cannot create production files as shown in the diagram.
To understand how the documentation is structured, we present the following diagrams.
Each document has a property card in which the following data is stored.
- File name
- Creator
- Date created
- Date of update
- Status
- Organization
- Related projects
- Related BOM
- Assigned users
- Reviews
- Comments
These data also provide the information for the correct management of the file.
File system integrity
Each file is assigned an unmodifiable fingerprint, this allows us to trace the file if there is a change of location.
No file is deleted from the system by the user, they can only be archived for later retrieval by the sys-admin.
